Day 3 : The Doctor and Tests...

Day 3  ( 2nd Of March 2015)

I was feeling sick...very sick! Through out last night, I was uneasy while sleeping. Fever kept me on my toe and those increasing numbers of blisters kept me worrying. I was very worried about my face, to be honest. I decided to apply for leave for this week.

Today, I took a long bathe with water mixed with dettol, neem based shampoo and soap. Unfortunately, this was not very helpful. By 10:30 AM, each and every millimeter of my face was covered with an ugly blister making me look a Cactus!

I visited the hospital for consultation. Doctor had a good look and told that he will give few medicines for rashes and fever as medicine for cure of chicken pox actually does not exists and body has to fight back by itself. Came back to home with all those costly medicines which actually I hardly took.... :(

I brought lot of Neem-leaves too as Its said to be best when comes to chicken pox and its blisters. I spread whole of these leaves on my bed and most of those over my pillows. Slept on it. I was feeling high fever with very severe body ache. I took the medicine that day and tried sleeping early. I also made sure that my water intake does not fall less than 4-5 bottles per day as keeping myself dehydrated was very important. I also took ORS every now or then.

Here, I should also mention that many times in night, It use to feel as if I will not able to pull it off! Seriously...It sound funny now but there were moments during first 4 nights, when I literally felt like writing down all my passwords at one place and keep it for my wife....In case I could not make up till morning... :O Thank God, those were just the passing thoughts and I did survive! ;)

Day 2 : Blisters, Blisters all over face!

Day 2 ( Sunday, 1st Of March 2015)

In the morning, I woke up a bit late. I could see 3-5 blisters on my forehead but My body was full of it. I was not feeling well. Took breakfast, Had lot of water, chewed 1-2 Vit-c tablets(Which I think I should not have) and hit the bed. Slept through out afternoon...Fever use to come and go (Which is one of symptoms of chicken pox). By evening, I can feel few more blisters on my face!

I did not went to hospital or any doctor as most of people I talked, They advised that we should not take any medicine in chicken pox as body will recover by itself and taking medicines generally worsen the condition! I was okay till this time, as fever does not bother me a lot.

In evening, went to bed early. As for day 1, today also I kept my food very light. Mainly khichadi or "margeela"(This is what we call cooked rice with some rice water left in it!), some "aloo ka bharta" and "baked papad".

Through out night, I kept waking up. I was not able to sleep for long. I use to come to living room, watch some TV and then again go to bed and try to sleep. This kept on going through out night and yes, Today my condition has deteriorated. :(

Day 1 : Fever, Uneasiness And Start of Blisters

Day 1(Saturday, 28th Feb 2015), When I started feeling sick and signs of chicken pox shows up for the very first time.

Yesterday (Friday) was a very common day at work. I went to office at usual time and had a normal day. Though, I felt a bit of tiredness and dizziness while walking in afternoon, just after lunch but it was not something very alarming. I took paracetamol, so as I can concentrate on work. I came back to home at around 8:00 P.M.

I had little dinner and went to bed. Wake up in the morning with very high fever and head ache. I found few blisters over my head under hair. I touched and found that there were many. By afternoon, these blisters started showing up at my back but were not many in numbers so I could not think that it can be chicken pox.

By evening, I started feeling very cold and found that my whole body was shivering.  I had very little food and went to bed early. I generally avoid taking medicines and try to give my body rest/ proper food and lot of water whenever I go down. Most of the time, It works!

It was very rough night for me and I kept waking up in night. I developed lot of blisters over my whole body. By now, I was sure its Chicken Pox!
